Video Shows Horror Scene of Cybertruck Crash That Injured Basketball Star

A video shows the horror cybertruck crash that injured basketball star Alijah Arenas.

TMZ obtained the video, which shows Arenas rolling on the ground in a "huge puddle of water" after the rash caused the cybertruck to light on fire.

A neighbor recorded the video after the crash occurred in Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley, according to TMZ.

The witness told TMZ that he saw Arenas "stuck inside the flame-engulfed vehicle."

People pulled Arenas from the vehicle and he ended up without a shirt or shoes in the roadway, according to TMZ.

According to TMZ, Arenas is the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas.

The video shows the Good Samaritans rushing over to the vehicle as it rested on the side of the road with a fire hydrant gushing. It then shows Alijah Arenas on the ground. Be forewarned that the video, which widely circulated on X, is disturbing.

Alijah Arenas, a UCLA recruit ranked #13, is now out of the induced coma, according to his family's statement to ESPN.

The statement on April 25, 2025, says that the basketball phenom had "shown significant signs of progress within the last 24 hours."

It also says that Arenas was able to speak. "Did anyone get hurt?" he asked, according to ESPN.

"I remember hearing banging on the car window, but I couldn't see anything because the smoke was so thick. That's when I realized someone was inside," a bystander said in the family statement obtained by ESPN. "I tried to break the window, but it wouldn't give. Then I saw one of the windows was cracked just enough and we used everything we had to bend it and pull him out. The car was on fire. We just knew we had to get him out."
