A professional dating coach has identified three "alpha" traits that girls love.
Blaine Anderson, a professional dating coach, built her platform, "Dating By Blaine," a couple of years ago. It's blown up online, with close to one million followers on Instagram. Anderson, who attended the University of Arizona, began her career in the travel industry. However, she quickly pivoted to the dating world.
The former sorority member says she used to help her guy friends get dates with her sorority sisters. She often wondered why "nice" guys had so much trouble with the opposite sex. So, she created her own platform - and program - to help.

Now, Anderson offers some of her tips and advice on social media. She recently named three "alpha" traits that girls love.
1. Confident but not cocky
This can be a tricky line, as no one likes a constant bragger, but you want to come across as confident. This can mean speaking loudly and clearly, having good posture and not being afraid to interject your opinion or take charge.
"You don't need to be the loudest in the room, nor do you need to prove yourself to others," she said.
2. You're protective
This is about making your significant other feel safe and cared for, without being over the top. You don't want to be controlling, obviously. But everyone wants to feel safe and protected in their relationship.
"Without being possessive," Anderson adds.
3. You control your emotions
Being expressive is fine, but no one wants to be with someone who's so unpredictable that you don't know how they're going to react in a given setting.
"You know how to stay cool and calm in every situation," Anderson adds.
Anderson added a fourth, too.
"You take pride in leveling up."
