Travis Kelce has responded to the "Mr. Pfizer" burn from Aaron Rodgers, who attempted to get under the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's skin earlier this week for appearing in the pharmaceutical company's vaccine commercials. However, we can safely say that Kelce wins this round by more or less taking the high road.
"I think there's some sentiment that there's some sort of moral victory out there that we hung with the champs and that our defense played well," Rodgers said, of the showdown between the Jets and Chiefs on Sunday. "[Patrick Mahomes] didn't have a crazy game and Mr. Pfizer, we kind of shut him down a little bit."
Kelce was asked about Rodgers remarks during a news conference on Friday ahead of the Chiefs game against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. The 34-year-old responded jovially with humor and just the right amount of shade.
"I thought it was pretty good," he said laughing. "I mean with the 'stache right now, I look like someone named Mr. Pfizer. Who knew I'd get into vax wars with Aaron Rodgers, man? Mr. Pfizer verses the Johnson & Johnson family over there, man."
"Once I got the vaccine, I got it because of, you know, keeping myself safe, keeping my family safe, the people in this building," Kelce continued. "So yeah, I stand by it, 1,000 percent, fully comfortable with him calling me Mr. Pfizer."

Kelce was referring to New York Jets co-owner Woody Johnson, great-grandson of Robert Wood Johnson I, and heir to the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical fortune.
But as far as his other remarks go, he was no doubt referring to the controversy in which Rodgers misled the public back in 2021, when he had claimed to have been "immunized" against Covid-19, but ended up missing a game a few months later due to protocols.
And that is how you execute a clap back.
