‘Moon Knight’ Creator on Show’s Future: ‘Talk to Oscar Isaac’

The debut season of Marvel’s Moon Knight on Disney+ was largely a hit, drawing strong reviews from critics and fans alike. However, since the show’s initial release in 2022, there have been very few updates that have followed.

Moon Knight received a strong 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and an even better 88% score from fans on the Popcornmeter. While the hope and expectation of a Season 2 remained high, the latest comments from creator Jeremy Slator cast some doubt over the show's future.

As Slater revealed to Comicbook, the ball is Kevin Feige and Oscar Isaac's court.

“Talk to Kevin Feige, Talk to Oscar Isaac. I think the ball’s really in their court. It’s as much or as little Moon Knight as Oscar wants to do," Slater said.

He continued by emphasizing his "hope" that fans will get to see Moon Knight surface again, but admitting he's "as curious as" everyone else.

"Kevin’s the guy with the master plan, and I think when he comes up with a way to really incorporate Moon Knight into there … It’s my hope that we’re gonna see him again, but I’m as curious as the rest of you guys."

The comments from Slater appear to point toward the big question about the show's future coming down to Feige and Isaac. In turn, the outlook for the return of Moon Knight remains an unknown, but at least fans know who to monitor regarding the series' future.
