As summer quickly approaches, you might soon find some special and exclusive flavors of Gatorade hitting the shelves and coolers if you know where to look.
This week, Circle K officially announced that it had partnered with Gatorade to sell an exclusive flavor available only at Circle K locations.
"If summer had a flavor, it’s this," Circle K wrote in a post on Instagram on Wednesday. "Introducing the NEW Gatorade Summer Blaze available exclusively at Circle K."
While the name of the flavor doesn't necessarily give that much insight into the actual taste, Griffin Parker of Sporked describes it as a "very pleasant tropical flavor" with an obvious mango flavor and possible notes of pineapple or starfruit.
"This new Gatorade has a very pleasant tropical flavor. There’s a good amount of mango going on, but the secondary notes are harder to nail down. Pineapple? Starfruit? Whatever it is, it’s working for me—and I’m no mango superfan," he wrote.
Additionally, Gatorade is rolling out another flavor that is reportedly exclusive to 7-Eleven and Speedway stores nationwide: Gatorade Electric Flash. Once again, the name doesn't give much away, but Parker describes it as "just lemonade."
"This new Gatorade is just lemonade! There’s surely something else going on here, but to my tongue (and all my fellow taste testers’ tongues), this is just a somewhat-watery, pretty tame lemonade-flavored Gatorade. That’s not inherently bad, but it’s so confusing," he wrote.
The new exclusive and limited flavors should be hitting shelves at their respective exclusive locations in the coming days and weeks as the weather starts to warm up across the country.
