You can't scroll through social media these days without hearing something about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce or his brother, Jason, and his wife, Kylie. The Kelce brothers have long been in the spotlight (even before Travis started dating the pop superstar). Both brothers joined the NFL around the same time, with Travis going to the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason heading to the Philadelphia Eagles. Since their debuts, people have fallen in love with their spunky personalities and animated sibling rivalry.
Although Jason retired last year after reoccurring injuries, particularly in his elbow and knees, he made a sizable net worth during his 13 years in the league. Below, we break down Jason's net worth, his football career, and what he's doing now post-retirement while Travis prepares for Sunday's Super Bowl.

Jason Kelce's Net Worth
While both Kelce brothers give off the guy-next-door-from-Ohio vibe every time they step in front of the camera, they aren't exactly praying for a payday. The net worth of pro athletes is a fascination for the public, and Jason's is no different. With 13 years in the NFL behind him and a recent three-year, $100 million deal with Amazon's Wondery podcast network, Celebrity Net Worth puts his earnings somewhere around the $50 million mark (an unconfirmed but believable figure).

Jason Kelce's NFL Career
Jason was born on November 5, 1987, in Cleveland Heights, OH, to Ed and Donna Kelce. In high school, he was a jack of all trades playing baritone saxophone in the symphonic and jazz bands, and playing under the Friday night lights as a running back and linebacker.
Travis, who's nearly two years younger than Jason, also played high school football as quarterback. Aside from playing on the field, the two brothers had a normal Midwestern childhood filled with sports, brotherly love, and fighting.
“There were a lot of fights,” their mom Donna told Sports Illustrated. “There were a lot of punches thrown. It all just stemmed from somebody being better than the other one, and the other one not being able to deal with it.”
In 2006, Jason attended the University of Cincinnati and walked on to the football team as a linebacker before ultimately becoming an offensive lineman. In his first year, he was red-shirted, but as a sophomore, he made 13 starts at left guard. In 2008, Travis joined him as a Bearcat and the sibling rivalry continued.
"Being two years behind him, I've naturally always kind of followed his footsteps," Travis said in an interview with NFL Films. "Being on his team, knowing that he's already going through this system—it just made the most sense."
In his senior year, Jason started in the final 38 games as a center, which eventually led him to earn the Honorable Mention All-America award and second-team All-Big East.
In 2011, Jason signed a four-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth approximately $2.3 million, including a $144,000 signing bonus. After his initial contract was up, he signed a six-year extension with the Eagles for $37.5 million. In 2019, he signed another one-year contract extension and continued to sign similar contracts until he left the league in 2024.
While leaving your passion behind is never easy, continuous injuries kept Jason from feeling his best. Although he openly said it wasn't affecting him on game day, it was taking a toll on his body.
"The physical portion is at a point that it's not a desire to continue to do," he said via Fox Sports. "The reality was, it was more firm than it's ever been this year that I just don't think physically, I can compete at the level I want to anymore. My elbow, a little of my knees, it's just gotten to the point where the deterioration and the recovery from that deterioration hasn't really manifested on game day yet, but I know it's going to start doing that. I'm hard on myself, and if I go out there and I'm not the player I want to be, it will crush me.
"I feel very confident in the decision that I made. I know that it's time. I had a really good run."
Jason Kelce Post-NFL
Although Jason is no longer an Eagles star, his time in the NFL isn't completely over. He's now a sports analyst and has made several appearances on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown. He's also a part of the Monday Night Countdown NFL pregame show. While you might be thinking Jason is relaxing in retirement, he's not pushing the breaks on making a living quite yet. Aside from his appearances on the above, he's also hosting the New Heights podcast with his brother, which was recently bought for $100 million by Amazon's Wondery podcast network.
