The Cotopaxi Teca Half-Zip Windbreaker is only $56 right now at REI, which is a rare discount of 30% compared to its normal price of $80. While the Fuego Hooded down jacket may seem more useful during the current weather, this windbreaker is a purchase for warmer weather that’s soon to be on the way. It has nearly 250 five-star ratings from shoppers, with one calling it the “perfect windbreaker for travel” that’s “super lightweight and folds into itself, perfect for keeping in the backpack.” It’s available in five colors, with the orange colorway being on sale, in sizes XS to 2XL.

This windbreaker is the ultimate travel companion when a little extra warmth is needed for a lightweight layering piece (it only weighs 8 ounces). The body’s fabric is made using repurposed polyester taffeta, which gives it a light, airy feel. At the same time, it also has a ripstop nylon in various elements to help with durability and longevity. This half-zip is weatherproof, too, as its fabric is wind and water-resistant, thanks to its water-repellent (DWR) finish and 600 mm polyurethane backer. It has elastic bindings at the hood, cuffs, and hem, it has a back panel for increased airflow and ventilation, a kangaroo hand pocket with an internal stash pocket, and it is super compact—with the ability to pack into a front zip pocket.
