With the start of spring just around the corner, it seems as though no one is as excited as star LSU gymnast turned entrepreneur Olivia Dunne. Known to her millions of fans by her nickname "Livvy," over the weekend the 21-year-old posed in a tiny bikini, ahead of her upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spread.
"Defrosting," Dunne simply captioned the trio of photos posted to her Instagram account on Sunday, along with a succinctly-placed wind-face emoji.
While the sentiment is undoubtedly something other parts of the country can identify with, it's unclear how much defrosting is needed in Baton Rouge, LA. (Though, Dunne was in Manhattan just a couple of weeks ago, according to another recent post.)
In May, Dunne will appear in the 60th anniversary issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, which will be her second time featured in the glossy magazine. But as she explained to the publication last November when her spread was first announced, even she wasn't always so comfortable bearing so much skin.
"SI Swim means to me being comfortable in your own skin and being undeniably you, which is something I still work on to this day,” Dunne admitted. "Body image is something that a lot of girls struggle with, especially young girls. In the sport of gymnastics, [body image is] a huge thing, and it’s something that I’m still working on to this day, being confident."
"But [Sports Illustrated] really helped me to see that it’s OK to not be perfect and to just be comfortable in your own skin," she added.
