Jeremy Renner Updates on Accident Recovery, Announces Vodka Business

Jeremy Renner has announced his newest business venture, just months after a harrowing snow plow accident back in January left him hospitalized.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Hawkeye actor announced that he’s partnering with Charleston, SC-based Sweet Grass Vodka.

“An exciting new week!” Renner began. “I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve made since the start of this year which allowed me to move forward with my interest in Sweet Grass Vodka. Their mission is rooted in community and shared experience, which is why the second I tried it, I knew I wanted to become a part of it.

“I’m excited for new ventures ahead,” he concluded the message, which captioned a photo of a Sweet Grass Vodka bottle sitting atop a fence in a bog.

“Grateful to have you on the team,” Sweet Grass Vodka replied to Renner’s post. “Cheers to more exciting news!”

The company also shared the news on its Instagram. “We are so grateful to share ownership of our brand with someone who resonates with our passion and vision to create the best vodka on the planet,” said Jarrod Swanger, CEO of Sweet Grass.

Sweet Grass Vodka later issued a statement in which they revealed that Renner is planning to make a series of appearances in various U.S. cities as part of a cross-country bottle-signing tour.

So far, the product is only available for physical purchase in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, South Carolina, and Tennessee. However, if you’re aching to try Sweet Grass Vodka, you can purchase it online and have it shipped to any of the 50 states.

Renner has by all accounts made an astounding recovery since his New Year’s Day accident, which saw the Hurt Locker star break 30 bones after he was run over by his own snowplow. He spent weeks in the hospital and endured numerous surgeries in the immediate aftermath.

In April, he returned to the red carpet for the first time since the incident to promote his Disney+ show Rennervations.

“I look a little beat up right now, but I promise you this show is what’s propelling me to get better and makes me want to get better every day,” Renner told Variety at the time. “I set out a goal to be walking this carpet. And here I am enjoying it. ”
