Waymo Robotaxis Crash at Airport, Sparking Multiple Tesla Debates

The United States' leading robotaxi operator, Waymo, saw two of its vehicles crash into one another at an airport.

According to video shared by @thetumbleweedX on X, two Waymo cars got into an accident in the parking lot of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Wednesday.

One of the driverless vehicles knocked its front-left driver's side into the front passenger door of another autonomous vehicle, the video shows.

A message on the screen inside the cars read, "Our team is aware of the interruption to your ride." It doesn't appear that anyone was inside the vehicles when the accident occurred.

The video immediately sparked a few debates.

Tech reporter Sawyer Merritt thinks that the accident isn't getting as much attention from the media as it would if it involved Elon Musk's Tesla robotaxis, with Merritt citing bias.

"Today, a Waymo car crashed into another Waymo, but the media hasn't covered it at all," Merritt wrote. "I've seen no articles. If this were two Tesla Robotaxis, it would be all over the news. "Negative headlines against Tesla generate clicks. Ones about Waymo don’t as much, so most of the media doesn’t bother to write about it.

"Is this crash the end of the world? Absolutely not. But the media would certainly paint it that way if it were Tesla Robotaxis," Merritt added.

Another raging debate going on is the difference between the technology used in Waymo's and Tesla's robotaxis, and which one is better for safety.

Many believe Waymo's multi-sensor approach (LiDAR, radar and camera) is better, while Tesla fans think its vision-based system using cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) is better.

"MORE Lidar equipment could have prevented this," one person joked. "Glad no one was injured."

"Lol. LiDAR broke? Among all of the cars available for them to crash, they picked each other to crash into. Good LiDAR technology," another person said.

Ford CEO Jim Farley has previously stated he believes Waymo's approach is better than Tesla's because "where the camera will be completely blinded, the LiDAR system will see exactly what's in front of you."

“When you have a brand like Ford, when there’s a new technology, you have to be really careful. We really believe that LiDAR is mission critical," Farley added.

With Tesla's robotaxi service only having launched in Austin, Texas in June, it's too early to tell if their system is better than Waymo's. But this recent crash will only bolster Tesla's case.

Child's Beach Discovery Turns Out to Be Warship From American Revolution

More than a year after its discovery, a historic vessel has been identified.

The hunt was initiated after a child was going for a run on a remote beach on Sanday, an island in Scotland, where he stumbled upon a wooden ship poking out of the sand. Archaeologists and historians spent a year digging through community research and using high-tech science to identify the ship.

Researchers announced it to be an 18th-century warship, the Earl of Chatham.

“I would regard it as a lucky ship, which is a strange thing to say about a ship that’s wrecked,” said senior marine archaeologist Ben Saunders to the Associated Press. "I think if it had been found in many other places, it wouldn’t necessarily have had that community drive, that desire to recover and study that material, and also the community spirit to do it.”

Historians uncovered the Earl of Chatham's background, originally named HMS Hind, a 24-gun Royal Navy warship built on England’s south coast in 1749. In the 1770s, the ship served as a British convoy escort during the American Revolutionary War. In 1784, the navy sold and renamed the warship, which was converted into a whale hunting boat off the coast of Greenland. In 1788, the whaling boat met a tragic weather accident off the coast of Sanday, where it was discovered almost 250 years later.

“The discovery of the Sanday Wreck is a rare and fascinating story. Wessex Archaeology worked closely with the community of Sanday to discover the ship’s identity, which shows that communities hold the keys to their own heritage,” said Alison Turnbull, Director of External Relations and Partnerships at Historic Environment Scotland. “It is our job to empower communities to make these discoveries and be able to tell the story of their historic environment.”

'Naked Gun' Rotten Tomatoes Score Sets Franchise Record

The Rotten Tomatoes score for Akiva Scahffer’s Naked Gun reboot is in, and it has fans buzzing.

What is The Naked Gun (2025) about?

Schaffer’s reboot follows Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson), son of Leslie Nielsen’s original dimwitted copper. In order to save his Police Squad from being turned into a Spirit Halloween, Drebin must work alongside a femme fatale (Pamela Anderson) to find the culprit behind her brother’s death.

What is the Rotten Tomatoes score for The Naked Gun (2025)?

As of Wednesday, July 30, The Naked Gun sits at a perfect 100 percent critical approval rating on the platform. That’s obviously the highest for any film in the franchise, which now numbers four installments. The original Naked Gun (1988) has an 88 percent critical consensus on RT. The two sequels—The Naked Gun 2 ½: The Smell of Fear (1991) and The Naked Gun 33 ⅓: The Final Insult (1994)—have positive critical consensus of 77 percent and 65 percent, respectively.

What are critics and fans saying about The Naked Gun (2025)?

As you can see, critical notices for the reboot have been largely positive. Men’s Journal’s review called it “the best Naked Gun movie since the original,” praising Schaffer for “successfully strik[ing] the same balance of unceasing jokes, gripping scenario, and amusing action sequences that made the original a standout.”

IndieWire’s David Ehrlich wrote: “There are like six different scenes in The Naked Gun that made me laugh so hard I cried. Even the title card is funny. I wrote ‘SO DUMB (complimentary)’ in my notebook several times.” Dimitri Krauss, who writes for MovieMaker, said that it’s a “small miracle that a movie like this exists in the current theatrical climate.” Vulture, meanwhile, called the film “fall off your seat hilarious.” Podcaster Matt Gourley, of With Gourley and Rust and Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, raved on Letterboxd: “Man, I’ve missed this type of humor. I belly laughed.”

Where can I watch The Naked Gun (2025)?

The Naked Gun is in cinemas nationwide from August 1.

Walmart Has a 'Fun' E-Scooter That's Over 50% Off Right Now, and Shoppers Say the Battery 'Lasts a Long Time'

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

There are lots of ways to get to work without having to turn on the car. You can take a long-range e-bike, carpool with friends, or even just walk, but many commuters have found riding e-scooters to be tremendously convenient. Electric scooters are lighter than bikes and much easier to store, but what's even better news is that one of Walmart's bestselling models is over 50% off right now.

The Aovopro ESBS 500W Commuter Electric Scooter is on sale for as low as $289. This version usually costs $599 and has a battery life that supports travel up to 28 miles. Alternatively, you can get the $349 version with the larger battery (usually $699) that can travel up to 50 miles. Altogether, the bikes have over 1,00 five-star ratings and are selling rapidly while they're on sale.

The Aovopro ESBS is a sit-down scooter with an adjustable seat and handlebars placed at a level ideal for sitters. It has a 9-inch scooter platform for your feet, uses 14-inch wheels, and has a small carry basket behind the seat. By default, the scooter travels around 15.5 MPH, but you can push it up to 21 MPH at full throttle. The entire scooter is only 47 inches long, making it perfect for storage in your garage or utility room and portability if you want to pop it in the trunk and take it somewhere.

“They are fun to ride, sturdy, and quiet," a shopper said. "We ride around our neighborhood, and we also take them in the car to other areas, like the beach, to ride on the sand. The battery lasts a long time, and we love the other included features, like the cell phone holder, turn signal, and lights.”

Another shopper, who described the Aovopro ESBS as a “campground scooter,” reviewed the e-scooter’s abilities for vacation. “The scooter meets my expectations for campground use. It works well, good on uneven pavement, and works okay on roads with a slight grade. It’s pretty speedy on flat roads and has good braking. Seems to hold a charge for a good amount of time, but performance is affected a bit as the charge decreases, which is expected.”

If you want to get this long-distance commuter e-scooter starting at $289, you should pick yours up now. This is a Walmart Flash Deal, so it is likely to end by the end of the week.

Former Dallas Cowboys Star Hits on Jerry Jones’ Daughter

The Dallas Cowboys are the most polarizing team in the NFL. They have die-hard fans that follow every up and down of the team throughout the season, and other fans who can't stand them allow their voices to be heard all year long.

The Cowboys are getting set up for another season, and one former player is raising eyebrows for his comments ahead of the start of training camp.

Former Cowboys legend Charles Haley was on hand for the training camp opening ceremonies this weekend, as the Cowboys took their familiar summer residence in Oxnard, California.

Haley led the crowd in a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' daughter Charlotte. He then let Charlotte and the crowd what he thought of her.

"She's fine, too, y'all. Lemme tell ya that," Haley said, in a video posted by WFAA's sports anchor Jonah Javad. Jones' daughter smiled as the crowd sang for her, standing up to applaud them and thanking Haley for leading them in song.

Charlotte Jones Anderson is the Cowboys' executive vice president and chief brand officer. She's worked for the team since 1989, when her father purchased it from Bum Bright.

Anderson is responsible for overseeing strategies and applications surrounding the team’s brand, and she's also the head of the team's marketing department.

The Cowboys, through Jones' negotiations, have a much more lucrative rights and merchandise contract than the rest of the NFL.

Jones signed several exclusive deals with brands in the mid-1990s. The NFL attempted to sue Jones for signing with direct competitors (Pepsi and American Express when Coca-Cola and Visa were official league sponsors), and the owner responded with a counter-suit.

Both sides would drop their lawsuits and the Cowboys were able to keep their exclusive deals, raising the value of the team's brand. Forbes reported that the Cowboys are worth an estimated $10.1 billion, making them the most valuable sports team in the world after the Los Angeles Lakers' recent sale.

As the Cowboys prepare to take part in another season, we'll see if Anderson can help them remain in the top spot when it comes to the boardroom and the balance sheet.

Popular Food Blogger's Car Stolen With Beloved Dog Inside, Pleads For His Return

It's now been a harrowing 48 hours since a popular food blogger's car was stolen with his dog, Noodles, inside, and still no clues about the car thieves and dog nappers.

Taylor Hannon runs the incredibly popular Austin Eager blog in Austin, TX. On Friday, a distraught Hannon took to Instagram to share to his nearly 100,000 followers that his red Honda Civic was stolen with Noodles inside early Friday morning at around 4:40 a.m.

Hannon shared he was packing his car for a weekend getaway. He started the car to get the air conditioner going and then packed Noodles, an 8-year-old black terrier mix. Hannon says the car was parked a mere 15 feet from the front door of his apartment in South Austin. He went inside to retrieve Noodles' bed. When he returned to his car, Hannon says he saw two people jumping into his car and taking off with it and Noodles.

The perpetrators arrived via two Bird scooters, Hannon says. A friend of his, Marco Garcia, told Fox 7 that they've called Bird to get the riders' information, to no avail, likely due to privacy laws. Garcia says it might take law enforcement to ultimately retrieve the information from the scooter company.

Related: Incredible Footage Shows Bison Fighting Off Wolf Pack in Yellowstone

The Austin Police Department's Auto Theft Unit is now on the case. Hannon on Sunday shared that the car has been found but Noodles is still missing. Hannon shared on his Instagram Story that the car was gutted from the inside and it's non-operable. But the car is the least of Hannon's concern. He's desperate to find Noodles.

"Yeah, it's been pretty panic-inducing. I just have a lot of empathy for Noodles. He is pretty attached to me, and he likes a handful of people. He's not a mean dog, but he's shy and keeps to himself, and he just really loves being around me. So not being around is probably freaking him out a little bit," Hannon told Fox 7.

In the hours since the car and dog went missing, Hannon's harrowing story went viral.

"I'm scared," Hannon told Fox 7. He is an over-thinker of a dog and just seems to have like human eyes if anyone's ever met Noodles. It looks like he's thinking all the time and I just can't imagine what he is going through right now."

Fortunately, Noodles is chipped. If he ends up in a shelter, Hannon will be notified. For now, Hannon hopes he can find his beloved dog.

"Feel free to have the car," he said. "I would like to have my dog back."

Caitlin Clark Just Broke a Big New Financial Record Amongst Female Athletes

Caitlin Clark's autographed logo patch rookie card just became the most expensive one ever sold in women's sports.

The Panini Flawless WNBA Platinum Logowoman Autograph card sold for $660,000 at a Fanatics Collect auction on Thursday. The card had 26 bids.

The record was previously held by Clark herself, with a previous women’s sports card record of $366,000 for the 2024 Prizm Gold Vinyl 1/1 rookie autograph card. She now has four cards that sold for over $100,000.

"Boasting the Flawless name, this one-of-one Caitlin Logowoman Autograph is one of a kind. Everything about it is top of the line. The brand represents the prestigious jewel of the Panini portfolio. When it comes to patches, it doesn't get more iconic than a league logo. Even the autograph carries something extra with the '769 pts and counting' inscription noting the total from her rookie season," wrote Fanatics Collect.

Clark broke the record for women's trading cards, previously held by Serena Williams. The 2003 NetPro Williams autograph patch card sold for $266,000, setting records at the time.

The 23-year-old basketball player was the WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2024. Although injuries have impacted her performance this year, she remains one of the most popular athletes in the world. She has missed three games, including the WNBA All-Star Game, since July 15 due to an injury during a game against the Connecticut Sun. There's no concrete timetable for her return.

Another Clark Logowoman card is set to enter bidding on August 9 for $219,600 at Goldin Auctions.

Matty Healy's Mom Makes Her Opinion Clear on His Taylor Swift Romance

Pop superstar Taylor Swift and 1975 frontman Matty Healy only dated for a brief time in 2023, but old scars were brought back up this week thanks to Andy Cohen. Healy's mother joined Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, July 24, where she shared her lingering feelings on her son's ex-girlfriend.

“Not being her mother-in-law is a role that I’m glad that I lost,” said Healy's mother, Denise Welch, an English actress best known for her longstanding role on British soap opera Coronation Street. "Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode."

More than once Welch insinuates that she was instructed not to discuss the prior relationship. "Listen," she says later in the conversation, "you’re not allowed to say anything and then she writes a whole album about it."

The interaction began when Cohen asked Welch about her feelings on Swift's album The Tortured Poets Department, which many believe is at least partially written about the singer's relationship with Healy. Cohen looks at first taken aback by Welch's comments, to which she replies, "Not that I have anything against her at all, it was tricky."

Healy and Swift had reportedly been friends since around 2014, but only started dating in 2023 after Swift broke up with her longtime boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn. The relationship lasted only around two months and was plagued with controversies, including Healy making racist comments about rapper Ice Spice.

Since then, both Healy and Swift have moved on. Healy is currently engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel, while Swift is famously in a relationship with Kansas City Chief's star Travis Kelce.

Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Fires Back at WNBA Over Fine

Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham is certainly not shy about speaking her mind.

Last Friday, Cunningham posted a TikTok video in which she played a verse from Sabrina Carpenter's "Manchild"--"Stupid, or is it slow? Maybe it’s: useless.”--along with the caption "@ some refs" over the clip. It was a very clear critique of the WNBA officiating.

On Wednesday, Cunningham revealed that she was fined by the league, and she took a jab back at the W in the process.

"I got fined $500 for this TikTok idk why this is funny to me… like ok you got it bud! Cause there’s not more important things to be worried about with our league right now," Cunningham wrote.

Cunningham, 28, who is in her seventh WNBA season and first with Indiana, is far from the first member of the league to blast its officiating.

Her teammate, Caitlin Clark, had a heated exchange with one referee last month, while Fever head coach Stephanie White has called out officials on multiple occasions.

"When the officials don't get control of the ballgame, and they allow that stuff to happen ... this is what happens," White told the media following an altercation between the Fever and Connecticut Sun last month.

"You've got competitive women, who are the best in the world at what they do, right? And when you allow them to play physical, and you allow these things to happen, they're going to compete. And they're going to have their teammates' backs. It's exactly what you'd expect ― right? ― out of fierce competition ... I started talking to the officials in the first quarter, and we knew this was gonna happen."

Additionally, Chicago Sky All-Star Angel Reese said the league's referee issue “has to be fixed” after a game earlier this month and Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum called the officiating “f–----g absurd" back in June.

Ozzy Osbourne Dead at 76, But Cause of Death Unclear, Reports Say

Multiple published reports from Great Britain say that former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76.

The cause of death was not clear, but he was dealing with well-known health issues.

However, the Independent posted a statement from his family: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time," it read.

The UK Sun also reported on July 22 that Osbourne is dead after a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. According to the Independent, Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease since 2019.

The Mirror also reported that Osbourne is dead and died surrounded by family.

On July 5, when he headlined a show in Birmingham, England, his wife, Sharon Osbourne said, according to the Mirror: “Ozzy's working with his therapist every single day. He’s doing really well, actually. Ozzy's number one thing in life is his fans, so he's working hard to be ready for them, to make this show the perfect way to end things.”

Ozzy Osbourne Thanked Fans Before His Death

Osbourne died just weeks after that show, which was pitched as a farewell show, and never did that prove more true.

Osbourne had a message for fans at that final show.

"You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart," he said from the stage, according to Sky News. He was joined in that concert by other metal bands like Metallica and Guns 'N' Roses.

Reality television helped propel Osbourne and his family into greater fame.

According to Sky News, he leaves behind a big family: "...his wife, Sharon, and their children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack, as well his two older children, Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, and grandchildren."

Largest Great White Shark on Record Swimming Off Popular Tourist Destination

A popular summer destination has been put on notice after researchers spotted what they believe to be the largest white shark ever tagged in the western North Atlantic Ocean.

OCEARCH, a shark-tracking research group, says it has recently detected a great white shark dubbed Contender a mere 50 miles off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The research group says Contender weighs a whopping 1,653 pounds and is 13 feet and nine inches long.

The ocean giant was last pinged on Friday east of Massachusetts, between Nantucket Shoals and Georges Bank.

After tagging the great white shark, OCEARCH will track Contender for the next five years. The hope is for OCEARCH to learn about the species' migration patterns.

So far, Contender has had quite a journey. Researchers first tracked the adult male in January and tagged him off the coast of Georgia. Contender then made his way down to Florida before heading up to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, where his presence previously made headlines.

"The SPOT tag deployed on Contender will provide valuable real-time data for approximately five years, helping us track his movements and understand his migration patterns," the group says. "Additionally, we've collected important biological samples, including urogenital material, which are currently being analyzed."

As for how the group came up with the name Contender, OCEARCH says it's to pay homage of Contender Boats, "a longtime OCEARCH partner, whose industry-leading sport fishing and pleasure boats enable our research missions."

Marvel Boss Shares High Praise for James Gunn’s New 'Superman'

Marvel and the DC Universe are widely viewed as rivals in the movie industry. And while Marvel has largely dominated headlines and at the box office in recent years, the James Gunn-directed Superman has taken the superhero world by storm.

Although Superman's tremendous early success and high praise from moviegoers are just the start for DC, Gunn and company appear to be well on track with their vision for what lies ahead.

Critics and fans alike have offered rave reviews of Superman, led by the new face of the Man of Steel, David Corenswet. Now, we can add Marvel boss Kevin Feige to that list, following his comments on the new film.

While speaking with a group of journalists, Feige offered praise to Gunn's new film, as Variety reported.

"I liked it a lot," Feige added of the DC film. "I love you just jump right into it. You don’t know who Mister Terrific is? Tough, you’ll figure it out. This is a fully fleshed out world."

It's a great comment from Feige about the film created by Gunn, who was formerly with Marvel.

Feige's feedback on Superman came while he addressed Marvel doing "too much" with various movies and storylines in the six years since Avengers: Endgame. The Marvel president doesn't view the issues as a lack of interest or "fatigue" in superheroes, which is why he also points back to Superman's success.

“Look at ‘Superman,’” he said of the hit film. “It’s clearly not superhero fatigue, right?”

It's a fair point from Feige, and as Variety noted, at the time of the article, Superman had grossed roughly $407 million globally and $125 million domestically at the box office.

From the sound of it, Feige and Marvel appear ready to make a shift in their approach, and while doing so, are happy to offer praise to a superhero film from the other end of the superhero world.

Kelsey Plum Takes Shot at Caitlin Clark's All-Star Team Over 'Pay Us' Shirts

The WNBA All-Star Game took place on Saturday night, and the players showed unity amid collective bargaining agreement negotiations with T-shirts the ladies wore before tip-off.

The shirts read "Pay Us What You Owe Us," which is a message to the WNBA as players seek higher wages in the next CBA.

However, the unity dissolved a bit after the game, when Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum said that Team Clark, the All-Star roster chosen by Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, was not involved in the meeting for the T-shirts.

"As players, we didn't know that was going to happen," Plum revealed in a press conference. "So, I think it was kind of a genuine surprise. The T-shirt, just a united front, was determined this morning that we had a meeting for.

"Not to tattletale but zero members of Team Clark were very present for that," Plum added with a laugh.

New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, who was sitting next to Plum at the press conference, was clearly uncomfortable with Plum's revelation.

"That really needed to be mentioned," Ionescu said sarcastically.

One has to wonder if Plum would have mentioned that if Clark wasn't the captain of the opposing All-Star team. Her comment certainly isn't going to erase the notion that some WNBA players are jealous of the Fever star over her immense popularity.

This isn't the first time Plum has shown what could be perceived as jealousy. Last month, Plum saw a fan wearing a Clark shirt on the sideline during a shootaround before requesting the fan remove it for a Sparks shirt.

"You can’t wear that in the gym. What is this?” Plum said to the fan, before telling her that she needs to "do better."

Clark has played a big role in the growing popularity of the sport, and that in and of itself could help players get what they're looking for, or at least something close to it.

Clark did not suit up in the WNBA All-Star Game after suffering another groin injury recently. Team Collier ended up defeating Team Clark, 151-131.

Nika King Will Not Appear in Season 3 of 'Euphoria'

As season three of HBO's hit show Euphoria continues filming, there have been several stars from the show who have been confirmed to be rejoining the cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Eric Dane. However, a few key characters will not be returning in the upcoming season.

During the first two seasons of the show, Nika King played Leslie Bennett, the mother of the main character Rue Bennett, who is played by Zendaya. While she was an important and beloved character in the first two seasons, she has recently confirmed that she will not appear in the upcoming season.

"I see the DMs, I see the comments asking if I'm returning to season 3 on Euphoria," King said in a video she shared earlier this year. "Unfortunately, I am not. My character's not coming back to the show. But I am forever grateful to HBO and Zendaya and Sam Levinson to come on set and do my thing."

"I am so excited for what's next for me. I know that God does not make mistakes and when one door closes, another door opens."

King recently shared a post to her Instagram story once again highlighting the fact that she would not be returning to the show. In the photo, she was washing dishes at the Blue Tree Cafe she owns with her mother in Florida, with text that read "When ppl ask me if I'm filming S3 of Euphoria."

In addition to King's absence from the show, Storm Reid, who played Rue's sister on the show, has also recently confirmed that she will not be a part of the cast for season 3, either.

Needless to say, it seems like the cast will look quite a bit different for the upcoming season of the show, which is to be expected given how long it's been between seasons.

EPA Issues Health Warning to Residents of 20 States This Weekend

The National Weather Service (NWS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warn that at least 20 states could experience elevated ultraviolet radiation levels this weekend.

UV radiation is measured on a scale of 1 to 11. Parts of these states could see UV levels of 11, where skin could burn in just minutes. Exposure to elevated UV levels poses the risk of skin burns, eye damage, and long-term health problems like skin cancer.

"The UV index [UVI] is a measure of the sunburning power of sunlight ... The higher the UVI, the shorter the time you need in the sun to burn," said Antony Young, a professor at King's College, London.

The states under extreme heat watch are California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.

In the cases of UV levels at 11 or above, experts advise residents to avoid sun exposure from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's also advised to reapply SPF 30+ sunscreen every 2 hours, stay in the shade, wear full coverage, and use sun protection.

Exposure to sunlight can also cause photoaging. Prolonged and repeated exposure to UV radiation can cause skin to prematurely age. Further, some 700 people die in the U.S. each year due to extreme heat.

"Sunburn is a risk factor for melanoma skin cancer, which is the most serious of the skin cancers," said Richard Weller, a professor of medical dermatology at the U.K.'s University of Edinburgh.
