Taco Bell launched the "new and improved" revamp of its Cravings Value Menu this week, which focuses on "more satiating, meal-sized items" than what were previously found on the value menu. However, to make room for some of the new additions, such as a the Cheesy Enchilada Burrito and 3-Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt, the chain had to eliminate some old favorites.
And unfortunately, one of the casualties was the Fiesta Veggie Burrito. The menu item, which was popular among vegetarians, featured seasoned rice, black beans, red tortilla strips, creamy chipotle sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, a three-cheese blend, tomatoes, and guacamole. Also now gone is the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito, which came with grilled chicken, fiesta strips, avocado ranch sauce, creamy chipotle sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.
For non-carnivores, the chain still offers a Bean Burrito and Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito—the latter of which can still be found on the cravings menu—but both of those options lack the comparatively fresh ingredients that were found in the Fiesta Veggie Burrito.
Suffice to say, after Taco Bell updated its website on Jan. 11, stunned and outraged fans took to Reddit to complain about the discontinued burritos.
One Redditor said that they were now "boycotting" the company, as the Fiesta Veggie Burrito was the only thing they ordered. "It’s straight up off the menu. Not in Veggie Cravings or Cravings Value Menu," the user wrote. "They’re about to lose so much money. I don’t even understand how they make these decisions."
"Why? Just Why?" asked another loyal customer. "All the ingredients for it are still in every Taco Bell, no? Why take that one combination away from us? I'm just going to order a black bean burrito and add tomatoes, lettuce, guac, and all the rest. Why make me spell all that out? Just keep the [Fiesta Veggie Burrito] on the board. Save me some time."
One fan of the vegetarian option even created a graphic to mourn the loss.

In a statement to Eat This, Not That!, a Taco Bell representative confirmed that both the Fiesta Veggie Burrito and Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito had both been removed to make room for some of the new menu additions.
"With the addition of some new, even more satiating items, the brand removed some others like the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito to make room for new innovations on the menu," the statement read. "Taco Bell is excited to be introducing some items that our customers have never seen before, on a national scale, while keeping others as mainstays of the Cravings Value Menu."
In addition to the two burritos, other Taco Bell menu items that didn't make the cut included the Beefy Melt Burrito, Chicken Chipotle Melt, and $5 Classic Combo.
