Hemsworth and Pataky Had a Whirlwind Romance

As people always say, "When you know, you know." Or at least that was the case for Hemsworth and Pataky. The two met nearly 15 years ago in 2010 when their mutual dialect coach told Hemsworth they should link up.

“We had the same dialect coach who said, ‘You guys should meet,’ ” Hemsworth recalled on the Drew Barrymore Show. “I did what you do, which is Google someone. Saw her photo, and I said, ‘Yep! I’ll have her phone number. She’s pretty.’ And then we went out on a date and the rest is history.”

Hemsworth recalls having a good feeling about her on their very first date, stating that how she showed up would set the stage for how they walked into their relationship.

“She turned up on a motorcycle … and I thought, ‘Oh cool, she’s adventurous.’ ”

In an interview with Elle Hemsworth explained it always felt smooth with his now wife which made his decision to marry her that much easier.

"There was no light bulb moment," Hemsworth said. "From the first time we met, we just made sense. She's fun. She's outgoing, and she has a sense of humor and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try and keep up with."

Just months after meeting, the two were married in a private ceremony in Australia. While there weren't a ton of details on their wedding, according to People Hemsworth had no regrets on how it all played out.

"It did happen quick and it just felt right; it made sense," he said on the British morning show. "There was no great plan to any of it, to be honest. We were on holiday and we said, 'Why don't we get married too?' There probably should have been some planning, but it all worked out."

While they got married quickly the couple's relationship has continued to stand the test of time. Hemsworth credits much of this to his wife's unwavering support which he spoke about when receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"And it doesn’t get lost upon me that she [Pataky] put aside her own dreams in order to support mine and again, forever in your debt," he said. "And the fact (is) that nothing that I do—any of these moments, the special occasions, all these events—none of it’s as special without you by my side and I love you."

The Couple Have Three Kids

Just a year after they tied the knot the couple welcomed their first child, India Rose.

"She's the best!" Hemsworth told People at the time. "She makes it harder and harder to leave to go to work. I enjoy being at home a lot more than I ever have."

Two years after they welcomed their first daughter, the couple announced they were pregnant for a second time—this time with twins!

"It's incredibly exciting," Hemsworth told reporters during the 86th annual Academy Award nominations.

On March 18, 2014, Pataky gave birth to twin boys Tristan and Sasha in Los Angeles.

“I can say that [my family] has certainly kept my feet planted firmly on the ground – I’ve been able to bypass a whole lot of garbage, traps that I could have fallen into,” he told People. “I had a taste of it when I was younger and on a TV show in Australia, and it wasn’t of great interest to me even then.”

When Pataky and Hemsworth aren't spending time on their bustling careers the pair seem to live a fairly normal life traveling, spending time at their Australian home, and going on adventure after adventure. Just one peak at Pataky's Instagram and you'll get a look into the adventurous life the duo share with their three kids.

"What a weekend with my kids!! Jumping with horses and surfing with whales. You can’t ask for more!" Pataky wrote in an Instagram post in June of 2023.

She also praises Hemsworth for being such a great father with a timely Instagram post gushing over him for fathers day almost every year.
