Burger King is offering customers a delectable BOGO deal to celebrate the full moon next Thursday.
On Oct. 17, members of Burger King’s Royal Perks program can grab a free purple-bunned Whopper when you purchase one at menu price. The item hails from the chain’s new Addams Family menu, which is arriving just in time for spooky season.
"Enjoy the iconic flame-grilled Whopper topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions, all toasted on a purple bun that gets its hue from purple potato topped with black sesame seeds," the press release explained.
The Addams Family menu is available from Oct. 10 until Nov. 10, giving fans plenty of time to try Wednesday’s purple Whopper as well as Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake, Thing’s onion rings, and Gomez’s Churro Fries. Alas, Pugsly and Uncle Fester are nowhere to be found on the new menu.
Burger King is also running daily deals for Royal Perks members throughout the Addams Family menu’s limited-time run. It’s one of the chain’s many attempts to step up value efforts as it competes with McDonald’s for customers.
On Mondays, members can get Wednesday’s Whopper for just $5. On Tuesdays, they can avail themselves of the $12 Creepy and Kooky Meal, which includes a Wednesday’s Whopper, a Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake, and a small Thing’s onion rings. Wednesdays bring the $10 Macabre meal, which comes with Wednesday’s Whopper, a four-piece Gomez’s Churro Fries, and a small soft drink and small fries; while Thursdays mark Gomez’s Mysterious Meal Celebration.
Fridays double the goodness with Thing’s Bizarre Bundle. For $22, you get two Wednesday’s Whoppers, two small Thing’s Rings, and two Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shakes. On Saturdays, you can try the $25 All Together Family Feast, which properly lives up to its name. It includes two Wednesday Whoppers, two Original Chicken Sandwiches, two small Thing’s Rings, and two eight-piece Gomez’s Churro Fries. If you’re still hungry when Sunday rolls around, you can get a free Wednesday’s Whopper with the purchase of a $20 Burger King delivery or pickup order.
