E-bikes are changing the way people get around town, but they're also becoming more expensive. Thankfully, Walmart has been slashing prices on some of its top-selling foldable bikes, fat-tire bikes, and even some e-scooters with seats by as much as 70%, making them more affordable than virtually every other retailer. Recently, Walmart cut the price of one of its popular electric mountain bikes by over $1,000, and it even ships for free.
The Totguard 500W Electric Mountain Bike is on sale for as low as $502 right now—69% off its normal $1,600 price tag. These hardy bikes have earned over 100 five-star ratings from Walmart shoppers who say it "rides great" both manually and in the mechanical modes. Unlike many e-bikes, this one is available in a variety of colors, and though the price ranges, none are more than $518 right now.

This mountain e-bike is equipped with a 21-speed Shimano gear shifter and a powerful 500-watt motor that can crank it to speeds of up to 21.6 mph. It runs off a 48-volt 10Ah battery that—depending on riding conditions and the riding mode—can get up to 65 miles of range on a single charge and charges back up in just 5 hours. Amazingly, it only weighs 49.6 pounds, which is slightly on the lighter side for a bike like this, and it's still rated for a 300-pound load capacity. It can be used in three riding modes, including manual bike, pedal assist, and pure throttle, and its 27.5-inch tires are fine to ride on pavement, sand, dirt, and even snow. It comes with an LCD screen that shows you battery level, speed, and mileage, and Totguard even added a font headlight for convenient night riding.
Shoppers have been thrilled with how much value is packed into this affordable e-bike. "Overall, a really nice budget-priced e-bike for city/trail riding," a shopper said. "I've already clocked over 150 miles on city streets, paved bike trails, and some gravel trails. It rides wonderfully." Another shopper agreed, saying, "This bike offers excellent value for the price and is well-suited for both daily commuting and recreational riding."
Others have been impressed with this e-bike's power and range. "The pedal assist system is great," a shopper said. "I was able to travel 30 miles yesterday and still had three out of six battery indicator lights on...There's an additional feature where holding the minus button activates a 'walk' mode, allowing the bike to move at about 2.3 mph until you brake."
If you've been looking to add an e-bike to your daily commute or simply want to experience the thrill of riding one, there's no better bike to start with than Totguard's 500W Electric Mountain Bike, especially while it's on sale for just over $500. Make sure to pick up your soon, though, because the price could shoot back up at any time.
