Ryan Gosling-Produced Drama Starring a James Bond Frontrunner Is Amazon Prime Video’s No. 1 Movie

As bookmakers give their final odds on who they think will play James Bond and his leading lady, Margaret Qualley, the reported frontrunner for the next Bond girl, is dominating the streaming charts in her new film, Love of Your Life.

The Ryan Gosling-produced romantic drama, which was released on Amazon Prime Video globally on October 14, follows “Maya (Qualley), whose chance encounter with Charlie sets in motion a sweeping romance and a future beyond anything she had imagined. When that future is suddenly upended, Maya is sent hurtling toward an unexpected new life—one that will force her to reckon with who she is, what she wants, and how to love again.”

Love of Your Life, directed by Rachel Morrison, the cinematographer behind Black Panther and Fruitvale Station, has been #1 on Amazon Prime Video’s U.S. movie charts, beating big-budget theatrical releases like Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, Scream 7, and Masters of the Universe.

Alongside Qualley, best known for her acclaimed roles in the Netflix miniseries Maid (2021) and horror hit The Substance (2024), Love of Your Life co-stars Aaron Pierre (Lanterns, Mufasa: The Lion King), Patrick Schwarzenegger (The White Lotus, American Sports Story), Gabriel Basso (The Kings of Summer, The Night Agent), and Catherine Keener (Being John Malkovich, The 40-Year-Old Virgin).

Love of Your Life first premiered at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) back in September, before being released on U.S. streaming on October 7, by Amazon MGM Studios — the studio that bought the rights to the James Bond franchise in 2025 and will produce the upcoming Bond film, which may turn out well for Qualley in regard to clinching the iconic Bond girl role.

The streaming hit holds an impressive 80% critics score on movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics’ consensus states, “A winsome travelogue enlivened by Margaret Qualley’s terrific performance, Love of Your Life is an attractive drama that finds the grace notes in heartbreak.”
