Foo Fighters are back on tour, following the recent release of their new single, "Broken Toy"
The Dave Grohl-fronted rock band has announced surprise last-minute dates for the UK and Ireland. The unorthodox gigs, taking place at smaller, more intimate venues, can only be purchased on Sunday, February 22. The concerts will take place in the lead-up to their U.S., European, and Australasian legs of their Take Cover Tour, which kicks off later this year.
Foo Fighters' Last-Minute UK & Ireland Dates
Feb. 23 – Dublin, Ireland — The Academy
Feb. 25 – London, England — 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire
Feb. 27 – Manchester, England — 02 Ritz
Tickets are limited to two per person, and will require in-person queuing and physical card payment. "The person attending the event must be present at the time of the purchase with their physical photo ID and credit card," a statement for the band read.
"If you plan to purchase 2 tickets, your guest does not need to be present when you purchase, however on the evening of the show, you must enter the venue together or your 2nd ticket will be forfeited. No transfers will be allowed. No Exceptions."

Foo Fighters Resale, Priority, and Discount Tickets
Due to ticket purchase restrictions, the February UK & Ireland Foo Fighters gigs cannot be resold. However, their other Take Cover tour tickets that previously went unsold can be purchased via resale.
You can buy tickets from a third-party reseller site, such as Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, and TicketNetwork. Do be warned, however — ticket scalpers are more likely to appear on third-party sites. Always read up on the relevant website’s guidelines on how to avoid being scammed before buying tickets. The mentioned sites do offer discount codes to help you save when buying concert passes.
- Vivid Seats offers $30 off purchases over $200 with the code ADVANCE30
- SeatGeek offers $5 off orders over $300 if you use the code TAKE5
- TicketNetwork offers 15% off purchases using discount code TIXDEAL15
The North American and European tour dates have been on sale for some time now, so resale tickets are your best bet. If you're on a budget, Ticketmaster does offer a resale scheme, where those who bought tickets and can no longer make it can put tickets back — and cannot make a profit from those tickets, in a bid to clamp down on ticket scalping.
If you're looking to buy tickets for the Australia/NZ leg of the tour, you're in luck — tickets go on general sale on Wednesday, February 25. To jump ahead of the queue via presale access, Telstra Plus Members can access a presale, starting on Friday, February 20 at 12pm local time via telstra.com.au/plus. Frontier Members also get priority access to tickets, with a sale starting on Monday, February 23, 12 pm local time, and you can sign up here.
