Longtime Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Molly Sims just made her triumphant return for the magazine's 60th anniversary issue, which was celebrated with a star-studded, multi-city launch party over the weekend. But if that wasn't indication alone that the 50-year-old mother of three has still got it, this week Sims shared a gallery vacation photos, showing off her preternaturally youthful figure.
"Not mommin’ today," Sims captioned the Instagram post from a recent trip to Utah. In the photos, she wore a modest black bikini, which she paired with a flowing floral cover-up. In one photo, the model took a selfie while wading in idyllic, turquoise blue waters.
But while Sims, who turns 51 this week, does indeed look incredible, she takes umbrage at people telling her she looks good "for her age."
"I think it’s just a mindset. I hate when people are like, 'Oh, my God. She looks good for 50,'" she told Us Weekly while promoting her skincare brand YSE Beauty last week. "Listen, I’m not trying to look 30. I’m definitely not trying to look 20. I am trying to look the best that I can."
Sims also recently opened up about what it meant to be included in the 2024 Swimsuit issue. Between 2000 and 2006, she appeared in six issues of the magazine.
"At age 50, this feels more legendary than any shoot I did then," she posted to Instagram on May 15, sharing the issue's cover as well as several throwbacks. "Because the woman I am today is so much more than the 20 something year old girl in a bikini. I’m a mother. A wife. A friend. An entrepreneur."
"The hardest days always turn out to be some of the greatest because age has taught me how to persevere. How to fight. How to evolve and pivot," Sims added.
