A former NFL MVP is working on building his own two-deep roster of offspring, announcing a new addition on Thursday.
Shaun Alexander was a two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler with the Seattle Seahawks from 2000-07 before ending his career with the Washington Redskins. During his playing career, the 2005 league MVP married his wife Valerie and started a family.
More than two decades later, Shaun and Valerie are expecting their 14th child. Alexander revealed the news earlier today during an appearance on the "Up & Adams Show" with Kay Adams.
"Number 14 is in the belly."

Meet the Alexander family
Heaven Alexander, Shaun and Valerie's first-born, entered the world in May 2002. Since then, they have had 12 more children, although sadly, their daughter Torah died unexpectedly in 2017 at just two months old.
In an Instagram post earlier this year, the Alexanders introduced their entire unit to the world.

Fatherhood means plenty for Alexander
Over the years, Shaun Alexander has made it clear how much he values the responsibility of fatherhood, a role he takes with the utmost seriousness.
"I believe family is the most underrated unit in the world. And the father is so important because he can set the identity, standards, and direction for everyone in the family and all people that come in contact with that family," he wrote in 2019.
"If the father role is handled correctly, communities, cities, states, and even the country will produce healthier people, better able to unite with others, confident in their own gifting to society."
Congratulations to Shaun and Valerie on their newest family member!
