This weekend, some of the biggest names in action sports united in Utah to mark the grand opening of Woodward’s expansive, new Park City facility. From icons that need no introduction, like Tony Hawk and Travis Pastrana, the festivities also included legends from the worlds of skateboarding (Andy MacDonald), BMX (Mat Hoffman) and even rally racing (Ken Block). As you can see from this ‘One Shot,’ take across the action sports hub, the list goes on to include names from freestyle skiing and snowboarding’s cutting edge, all making the most of Woodward’s winter offering, which combines indoor and outdoor training areas. Inside, skateboarding, BMX and parkour athletes enjoyed the concrete park, pump track, mini ramps, parkour zone, spring floor, Olympic grade trampolines, foam pits, and digital media lab. Meanwhile, amid a heavy snowstorm, skiers and snowboarders christened Woodward Mountain Park, complete with base area learning zones, and plentiful slopestyle terrain features constructed with training progression in mind.
