How the Food and Drink Industry is Responding to the Pandemic

While we’re all still adapting to the new normal of this current pandemic situation, it’s no secret that businesses are hurting. While many companies forced to close their doors and lay off employees, the restaurant industry has been hit especially hard. Thankfully, some restauranteurs have been able to shift gears and find a way to continue serving (and donating) their delicious cuisine.

Restaurant owners have modified their business models and are using clever marketing campaigns to make contactless pick-up and delivery commonplace. While it’s far from ideal, it allows many sit-down, brick-and-mortar operations to survive during this unprecedented period. At the same time, many restaurants have also taken this opportunity to donate meals to those in need.

We’d like to take a moment and salute all those that are still serving up tasty cuisine. Their food is one of the few simple pleasures we still have, which is exactly what we need to get through these challenging, unprecedented times.
