New Year 2023: 6 Diet Resolutions You Can Actually Stick To

Happy New Year 2023! With the New Year celebrations comes the promise of starting afresh, especially when it comes to our diets. There are so many people who join gyms or begin new diet plans in the New Year in an attempt to lose weight. One of the most popular new year resolutions is said to be 'I will get fit', but what happens is in fact the opposite. Most of the diets end up crashing and derailing our weight loss goals. What we would suggest is to make simple and achievable resolutions that you can actually stick to. In New Year 2023, the focus should be on setting small goals that can easily be achieved in the short run first and then made into a regular habit.

Consultant nutritionist Rupali Dutta also agrees, "Remember, the first step is the most important! Set smaller goals, for example, closing your kitchen by 9 pm or walking every half an hour of sitting. She further says that it's important to just kickstart a habit and it will undoubtedly become a part of your diet regime. "It takes us 21 days to change a habit and if we follow it for three months it becomes our lifestyle. Take your time, it more important to learn what you must change and make a start," she added.

New Year 2023: Here Are 6 Diet Resolutions You Can Actually Stick To:

1. Eat one fruit every day:

No, we're not saying you should make a fruit platter for yourself. Just the simple act of eating one whole fruit every day will certainly go a long way in your diet plan. Fresh fruits offer a multitude of health benefits for your body. Eat it raw for best benefits. Once it becomes a habit, you can increase the quantity depending upon your other meals.

2. Use smaller plates for eating food:

Sometimes, we end up piling on more food than necessary into our plates. Bigger plates give us the illusion that we still have some more space, while our stomach is already stretched to full capacity. "Even the healthiest food is good till it is consumed in the amounts that the body needs, extra has never meant more goodness," says Rupali Dutta. The simple act of using a smaller plate will prove useful for your diet and weight loss goals.

3. Try to skip processed food every alternate day:

If we heard a recommendation like, 'Avoid processed food entirely' - we may follow it for two-three days or sometimes even weeks. But then all of a sudden, our cravings for junk food returns and we end up bingeing guiltily. Experts suggest that you can try skipping processed food every alternate day to begin with, and then observe the difference. "Avoid factory made food and have what nature has designed," says health coach Shilpa Arora. "Learn about how much you need and then stick to it. The occasional samosa or burger will also not de track you from your health goals if you understand this," adds Rupali Dutta.

4. Switch to herbal tea:

The benefits of herbal teas in detoxifying the system have been proven time and again by various researchers. If you can switch your cup of masala chai or coffee for green tea or any other herbal tea of choice, trust us, your body will thank you! We are not asking ourselves to give it up entirely, but simply incorporate herbal tea into your daily diet at least every alternate day

5. Make one meal everyday a protein-rich one:

In a bid to eat healthy, we often cut down on calories but forget to stock up on good nutrition instead. Rather than saying you will eat less calories or cut carbs completely from your diet, try to make at least one meal a day a protein-rich one. You can choose from either vegetarian or non-vegetarian protein sources. This will provide a simple yet effective means to cut down on calories while keeping you full for longer and contributing to your weight loss goals.

6. Walk for 15 minutes every day:

Apart from the dietary changes, it is also important to incorporate exercise to make sure you shed the excess kilos. Try and walk for 15 minutes every day so that a consistent habit is formed for your daily routine. Once you get the hang of it, you can start taking a longer walk and build up from there. "Complete 10,000 steps daily and get sunlight every morning for best results," suggests Shilpa Arora.

So, try these simple and achievable new year resolutions and tell us your experience in the comments below. Here's wishing all our readers a happy and healthy New Year. May 2023 be your fittest yet!

Pune Man Orders Food Worth Rs 28.6 Lakh In 2022: Zomato Shares

What do we do when we feel like not stepping into the kitchen? Of course, we order food from our favourite restaurants. And for people who have a super hectic schedule, this phenomenon occurs more often. But it seems a man from Pune went extra miles with ordering food! Wondering what that means? Okay, let us spill the beans for you. According to Zomato's annual trend report 2022, a man from Pune ordered food worth over Rs. 28 lakh through the app. The person claimed the title of 'the biggest foodie' by placing orders worth Rs 28,59,611 this year. You heard us.

Zomato recently took to Instagram to share a post featuring highlights of 2022. The post also had a meme on Elon Mask carrying a sink at Twitter's headquarters. “Let that sink in,” the text read. Wait, it doesn't end here. The report went on to share a picture of Ronaldo and Messi with a bowl of biryani at the centre. “Biryani proved to be the GOAT this year too,” Zomato wrote. For the unversed, the Zomato report revealed that biryani continued ruling hearts in 2022 with 186 orders of it delivered every minute.

In another post, Zomato gave a special mention to a person named 'Rahul' who ordered 1,098 cakes this year.

Then comes a person named 'Tina' from Kahargpur who spent Rs 25,455 just on ordering pizzas, that too in a single go. Wondering how she accommodated so many pizzas in her cart? Well, Zomato described this perfectly in a meme.

If you think you have been ordering way too much food lately, then look at Ankur from Delhi who placed 3,330 orders this year which means approx. nine orders every day. Meanwhile, Yash from Surat, Gujarat, stood out by saying thank you in the chat support every time his order got delivered.

Sharing some unusual requests and searches made by customers, Zomato roped in three sharks from Shark Tank India. Here, some asked if the platform accepts Bitcoin, nearly 80,000 demanded extra oreganos in cooking instructions and some searched for “breakup food”.

For the record, biryani dominated the food orders as per Swiggy's annual trend report too. It stated that 137 biryanis were ordered per minute in 2022.

Malaika Arora Ends The Year With A Traditional Dinner In Rajasthan - See Pic

Malaika Arora's gastronomical adventure doesn't seem to end anytime soon. And, we don't blame her. After all, it is the holiday season. On Friday, Malaika jetted off with her beau and actor Arjun Kapoor to welcome 2023. The couple was joined by actor Varun Dhawan and wife Natasha Dalal. And then, we got a few glimpses from her stay that include traditional music, food being cooked in the angeethi and more. But what we loved the most was the snap of her elaborate dinner. Malaika Arora, who is somewhere in Rajasthan now, posted a snap of her scrumptious traditional dinner; and it was quite an elaborate one! The ultimate platter consisted of various curries, sabji, and sweet dishes. “30 December 2022” and “love” read the caption on the filter used by Malaika.

She recently attended a dinner with her close friend and designer Kunal Rawal. And following the tradition, Malaika shared a glimpse of her meal on the photo-sharing app. Her indulgences included three dishes: a sunny-side-up resting on a bread piece, some greens with grated cheese, and a platter of fries. Read all about it here

Besides being a hardcore foodie, Malaika Arora stays true to her health as well. Her pilates and power yoga sessions are proof of the dedication she has towards fitness. But, it never stops her from digging into yummy food. For instance, once her Monday breakfast was nothing but an apple pie! Don't believe us? Ceck it out here and decide for yourself.

What would you prefer eating on a chilly winter evening? As for Malaika Arora, it has to be a bowl of homemade “chicken ramen soup" for the soul. The warm delectable bowl had shredded chicken strips, sliced carrots and green onions along with chillies. Sharing a photo of the meal, she wrote, “Just what the doctor ordered… Chicken Ramen soup for the soul.” Read about it here

Is Sweet Potato Healthy? All You Need To Know About Its Health Benefits

No matter what time of the year it is, you will always find an array of seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables available in the markets. Depending upon the weather and the region you are in - there is going to be something healthy, local and nutritious that you can add to your diet. Sweet potato or shakarkandhi is one such root vegetable that is abundantly available throughout the country during the winter season. The reddish-purple tuber is commonly seen being served as chaat or being used as an ingredient in sabzis etc. But is sweet potato truly healthy? Does its sweet taste mean that it should be eaten in small quantities only? Here we bring to you all you need to know about sweet potato, its nutrition facts, the health benefits of the vegetable and more.

Nutrition Facts Of Sweet Potato | Shakarkandhi Nutrition:

As per the USDA data, a 100-gram serving of sweet potato contains just 86 calories and 0.1 grams of fat. It has good potassium content and is also enriched with protein and fibre. Sweet potato also contains significant quantities of calcium, magnesium and Vitamin B6 that could meet up to 10% of your dietary needs depending upon the calorie requirements.

Health Benefits Of Sweet Potato | Is Shakarkandhi Healthy?

Dietitians and experts are often asked if shakarkandhi or sweet potato is healthy, and whether it should be consumed as part of the daily diet. According to celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, "The fibrous vegetable is safe for everyone to eat, the ones battling obesity, PCOD, Diabetes especially. It also makes for a great snack and allows for quick recovery from training."

Here Are Some Of The Amazing Health Benefits Of Sweet Potato:

1. Good For Immunity:

Looking for an immunity-boosting winter superfood? Sweet potato is the answer. Carotenoids and anthocyanins in sweet potato protect the body from free radical damage and also help boost immunity. It also protects our skin and improves hair health. "The anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant ability of sweet potato is not just limited to its carotenoids, it is a great source of anthocyanin, which is most abundant in the purple-coloured variety," said consultant nutritionist Rupali Dutta.

2. Manages Diabetes:

Although it may seem that sweet potatoes should be avoided by diabetics, experts argue that this is not the case. Sweet potato is low on the Glycemic Index (GI) and also contains plenty of fibre. Its starchy carbohydrates also delay the release of sugar into the bloodstream. The American Diabetes Association says, "It is a superfood for diabetics. It is a starchy vegetable full of vitamin A and fibre. It is also a good source of vitamin C and potassium."

3. Improves Eye Health:

Thanks to the orange-red hue of sweet potato, we are all well aware that it is abundantly enriched with Vitamin A. Shakarkandhi also contains beta-carotene that protects the eyes against UV damage and prevents macular degeneration.,

4. Facilitates Smooth Digestion:

Keep digestive woes at bay with sweet potato in your diet. According to Rujuta Diwekar, "The minerals and Vitamin B profile in sweet potato will keep the bloating, acidity and constipation away. In a nutshell, if you have drunk too much, slept too little and partied too hard, this is what you should be eating," she wrote on Instagram.

5. Good For Weight Management:

If you are watching your weight, sweet potato is what you should definitely try eating. The low-calorie tuber has a good amount of fibre that facilitates weight loss and keeps you full. Thus, it makes for an excellent snack provided that it is consumed in moderation.

Conclusion: Is Sweet Potato Healthy? Yes Or No:

Sweet potato is loaded with health benefits and makes for a good addition to your winter diet. But just the way it is with other foods, always consume it in moderation and do not pile up excess sweet potato in a bid to get healthy. Always consult a nutritionist before making any major changes to the diet. Stay fit, stay healthy!

December Streaming Guide: What to Watch on Netflix, HBO Max, and More

2023 is here, and now’s your chance to start the new year off right. That includes taking full advantage of all the top streaming content at your fingertips. From the latest movie arrivals to returning TV shows and classic films, here’s all the best stuff to see in January 2023.

What To Watch on Netflix: January 2023

Netflix is starting off the new year with a bang, bringing some intriguing original movies and TV shows to the platform, including new projects from Christian Bale, Eddie Murphy, and Jonah Hill. The historical mystery thriller The Pale Blue Eye (January 6) stars Bale as Augustus Landor, a 19th-century detective brought in to investigate a murder at West Point when a young cadet is found dead. The savage murder opens up a wide mystery. To help get inside the world of the cadets at West Point, Bale’s detective enlists the help of another cadet—who just happens to be Edgar Allen Poe. The film is directed by Scott Cooper, who has worked with Bale on multiple films, including Out of the Furnace and Hostiles.

On the funnier side, the classic sitcom That ’90s Show (January 19) is back, bringing more laughs to the Forman family basement. Debora Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith are returning as Kitty and Red Forman—and to make you feel old, the new show will follow Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna’s (Laura Prepon) daughter Leia as she comes to Wisconsin to visit her grandparents for the summer. Grace and Prepon will appear back on the show, along with original cast members Wilmer Valderrama, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis.

Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Mike Epps, and David Duchovny round out the all-star comedy cast in You People (January 27), written and directed by Kenya Barris (Black-ish). The film follows a young couple (Hill and Lauren London) as they try to navigate their parents meeting for the first time.

Another intriguing title to check out this month is Kaleidoscope (January 1), a crime thriller series that follows a thief and his crew as they try to pull off an epic heist worth billions. What makes this show so interesting is that it lets viewers watch any episode in any order before reaching the finale. Netflix also has some great classic movies coming to the streamer this month, including: Rocky I through Rocky V, the original Top Gun, Reservoir Dogs, Jerry Maguire, Forrest Gump and The Aviator (all January 1).

What to Watch on HBO Max: January 2023

One of the most anticipated shows of the year is here early. HBO is bringing an adaptation of the hit video game The Last of Us (January 15) to the platform, following the aftermath of an apocalypse that has turned the world’s population into cannibalistic zombies. The spine of the series centers on Joel (The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal), a smuggler who must transport and protect a young girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsey, Lyanna Mormont from Game of Thrones), who may be the key to finding a cure. The game won multiple awards and is considered one of the best of all time. Now it’ll get prestige TV treatment from award-winning creator, Craig Mazin, of the miniseries Chernobyl.

If you’re looking for something a tad lighter, Mindy Kaling’s (The Office) new animated series Velma (January 12) offers a reboot of the fan-favorite Scooby Doo character—voiced by Kaling herself, as she works on solving mysteries while getting herself into trouble. One of the best-reviewed movies of 2022 debuts on HBO this month with The Menu on January 3. Featuring a strong cast—with Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, and John Leguizamo—the film follows a group of guests who are invited to an exclusive restaurant. The twist? Turns out that the celebrity chef owner (Fiennes) wants to kill them all.

Other movies to watch out for this month include the Christian Bale comedy American Hustle, the Crocodile Dundee series, the Tom Hanks drama Captain Phillips, Zero Dark Thirty, and all three films of the John Wick series to help you get ready for Chapter 4 later this year.

What to Watch on Disney Plus: January 2023

January is a bit light for Disney Plus—but for Star Wars fans, it’s a thing of joy. It’s finally time for more of The Bad Batch. The animated series returns for Season 2, kicking off with a two-episode premiere on January 4 before weekly episodes for the rest of the run. The show continues the story from the titular “Bad Batch” of clone troopers from Star Wars, serving up some of the best content from the SW universe. This month, you can also continue with new episodes of both Willow and National Treasure: Edge of History, which will continue to come out weekly until their finales.

What To Watch on Amazon Prime: January 2023

After a three-year break, the second and final season of the historical action drama Hunters is back. Starring Al Pacino in his first major TV series role, the show follows a group of Nazi hunters in the 70s tracking down any surviving members they can find. Alongside Pacino is a strong supporting cast, including Logan Lehrman, Josh Radnor, and Saul Rubinek. This season, the team will be going after (spoiler alert!) the biggest name of all toward the end of the first season… when it’s revealed that Adolf Hitler is alive and hiding in South Africa with his wife Eva Braun.

The streamer also has a lot of fun films hitting this month, including Tom Cruise’s first four Mission: Impossible movies, Ghost Protocol, and the complete Raiders of the Lost Ark franchise—including Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Also well worth rewatching this month are the high school comedy Election and the Pacino classic Serpico.

What to Watch on Apple TV+: January 2023

The most anticipated release this month is Shrinking, a comedy starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in his first major TV role. Produced by Ted Lasso’s Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, the series follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts telling all his clients what he really thinks—no matter how blunt. Once he starts, his life and the lives of his clients and friends start to have major changes, for better and worse. Also starring Jessica Williams, the series premieres January 27 followed by weekly episodes.

If crime stories are your thing, Season 3 of Truth Be Told with Octavia Spencer is for you. Each season of the show follows podcaster Poppy (Spencer) as she investigates a true crime. The case this season, which co-stars Gabrielle Union, will involve Poppy investigating several young missing Black girls and a potential sex ring that may be behind their disappearance. The series starts on January 20 followed by weekly episodes.

The fourth and final season of Servant begins January 13, continuing the story of Philadelphia couple, Dorothy and Sean Turner (Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell), as they deal with mysterious forces surrounding their family. Lastly, the finale of the third season of Mythic Quest airs on January 6 after another strong season. The series has already been renewed for Season 4, with a new spinoff coming as well.

What to Watch on Hulu: January 2023

Hilary Duff is back for another season of How I Met Your Father, which starts on January 24 for its second run of episodes. The spin-off of How I Met Your Mother stars Duff as Sophie, a photographer who is a hopeless romantic and looking for her eventual soul mate in New York City. Like the original series, she’s joined by a close group of friends who help her in her dating life and get her into some ridiculous situations. In a connection to the previous series, Chris Lowell’s Jesse lives in Ted, Marshall and Lily’s old apartment from How I Met Your Mother.

Another new series coming this month is the animated comedy Koala Man (January 9), which features the voices of Michael Cusack, Sarah Snook, Jemaine Clement, and Hugh Jackman. Produced by the co-creator of Rick and Morty, the superhero series follows a family man with a secret life as a superhero (named Koala Man) who takes on small crimes in his neighborhood. Other great movie arrivals this month include the Home Alone series, Brendan Fraser’s Mummy series, the action comedy Zombieland, Robert De Niro’s King of Comedy, and De Niro and Al Pacino’s action classic Heat.

Bubbly Beers to Drink on New Year’s Eve Instead of Champagne

Plenty of holidays throughout the year are associated with specific kinds of booze. St. Patrick’s Day is synonymous with Irish stouts, Cinco de Mayo is all about tequila, and New Year’s Eve just doesn’t seem festive without Champagne—or at least some kind of sparkling wine. What else are you going to ring in the new year with, right? Well, if we had our druthers, we’d drink bubbly beers instead.

While nobody will tell you to put down your barrel-aged imperial stout during Auld Lang Syne, there are definitely more Champagne-adjacent beer choices available that tick all the New Year’s Eve boxes: Saisons, brut IPAs, sour beers, and many other styles are well-suited as a replacement for sparkling wine. Here are 15 crisp, effervescent brews to drink this New Year’s Eve instead of the usual bubbly.

1. Lindemans Old Gueuze Cuvée René

Lindermans calls this wild-fermented wheat beer made with aged hops the “queen of gueuzes” and “one of the jewels of our brewery.” Golden in color, this beer is said to be reminiscent of a bubbly dry vermouth. Named the World’s Best Gueuze at the 2022 World Beer Awards, you might want to pick up two bottles—one to drink now and another to cellar for a few years.

2. Fair Isle Brewing Otto

Fair Isle combines old and new with aplomb. The brewery took a long-matured beer that had been aged in oak casks with peaches and blended it with a fresh saison. The end product has a drier finish and less tartness, while still maintaining the stone fruit flavor and depth.

3. The Bruery Ivoire

This bourbon barrel-aged English-style Old Ale took home a silver at this year’s Great American Beer Festival. Made with a portion of all the brewery’s anniversary ales (there have been 14), Ivoire has notes of toffee and vanilla that balance against flavors of dark fruit and oak in this blend.

4. Boulevard Brewing Co. Tank 7

Boulevard calls this American saison the “8.5% wonder of the world.” The brewery’s North American twist on the Belgian style offers aromas of sweet fruit and yeast with a palate-pleasing combination of banana, clove, and yeast.

5. Primitive Beer Effectively Seasoned

Longmont, Colorado’s Primitive just released a new “super mature” beer. The multi-year aging process gives the beer “notes of toasted orange peel, burnt caramel, and musky oak cellar.” In addition, the brewery says this special beer is “Champagne-like” making it perfect to pop open at midnight.

7. Saison Dupont

Belgian brewers know a thing or two about crafting wine-like, heavily fermented beers. Saison Dupont is a favorite for being yeasty, sweet, tart, and trademarked by flavors of funky citrus, fruit esters, and lemongrass. The finish is dry, sparkling, and slightly bitter.

BMW i4 M50 Is a Next-Level Thrill Ride for Electric Vehicle Converts

In most electric cars, the silence is something to be enjoyed. But in the BMW i4 M50, some kind of glitch in my subconscious wouldn’t let me blast off the line without saying, “Vroom!”—out loud—every time. So accustomed to the fury of shrieking German turbochargers, I couldn’t let the explosion of power go unheralded.

The whispers of electric fueled vehicles are going to take some getting used to for horsepower-hungry car geeks—especially ones who love to note the difference between the BMW M3’s V-6 and its M5’s V-8 half a mile away. But instant torque is magically addictive, and the good news for those in need of aural satisfaction—you can still make the tires squeal.

Ride the Lightning

A pair of electric motors yields 536 horsepower and 586 pound-feet of torque. BMW conservatively claims the i4 M50 will go from a dead stop to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. It’s of course slightly faster, and when you do slam the accelerator to the floor you feel like Maverick being catapulted off an aircraft carrier.

The Newest Wave of Electric Cars, From $12,500 to $135,700

Read article

But it isn’t just quick off the line. The wunderkinds in Munich have tucked the battery pack and all its girth under the floorboards, shifting the center of gravity lower to keep the car more stable and more agile through the bends. The modern miracle of electronically adaptive suspension minimizes body roll to the lowest common denominator.

In the ‘Sport’ setting, steering becomes both light and sharp as a Hattori Hanzo sword, ready to attack the corners as the instantaneous electric juice flows to the wheels. The i4 M50’s balance and agility are rather staggering given its 5018 lbs curb weight (its ICE powered sibling, the M4 coupe is 3830 lbs). Optional 20-inch Pirelli P Zero PZ4 tires bolster the already silly levels of grip when it’s time to obliterate the road less traveled.

Is America Prepared for Electric Vehicles to Be the Future?

Read article

Back in the land of traffic lights and stop signs, the i4 M50 is both supple and practical. ‘Comfort’ mode softens the setup, so you can chill out and enjoy the traffic. Need to ferry a passenger or three? The back seat is spacious enough to keep adults from complaining on short rides, though not quite a road trip. While there is no frunk (front trunk,) The hatchback is ample enough for large luggage, like a couple of golf bags or a big Costco run.

For those who prefer sound to silence… or their own voice, BMW and Hans Zimmer (yes, that Hans Zimmer) concocted a faux engine “soundtrack” using Shepard tones—but it’s almost as absurd as saying “Vroom.”

Blue BMW i4 M50 parked with trunk open. Rear view.

The Elephant on the Road

So much about the i4 M50 is so right—but the range is shockingly anemic. On the standard 19-inch wheels, the i4 M50 can go around 270 miles. Slap the optional 20-inchers on, as the test model had, and the estimated range plummets to 227. That’s sufficient for most five-day work week commutes but little else.

Electric Bikes

The 5 Best Electric Bikes To Get For Yourself Or As A Gift

Read article

On a level 2 charger, replenishing the range takes a little over eight hours, and on a 200-kW DC fast charger the battery goes from 10 to 80% in a shade over 30 minutes. BMW does give new i4 buyers two years of complimentary, 30-min charging sessions with Electrify America. But that math means drivers will likely be spending about two hours and change per month sitting at a charger. That’s not an insignificant amount of time or hassle. So, installing a home charger would be an essential upgrade for most folks. But for those going electric, that’s probably already baked into the decision.

Our Favorite Car of 2022? Nearly

The i4 M50 wasn’t quite my favorite car of 2022. If I had to pick a winner, the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica and its naturally aspirated V-10 stole my heart, both on and off the track. Of course to compare the Tecnica with the i4 M50 is absurd. You could buy three BMWs for the price of a single Lambo.

Blue BMW i4 M50 driving on a narrow country road. Rear view.
Courtesy Image

But for those of us ready to flip the electric switch, the i4 M50 is an enticing proposition. It’s a highly capable performance four door from a company that has spent decades refining rocket ship sedans to near perfection.

Of course, in the ears of car geeks, the absence of engine sound is a deafening harbinger of the automotive electric future (and present). But it’s one we are all going to have to get used to—even if we have to talk ourselves through it.

We Found The Best Way To Clean Bread Toaster In Minutes

Bread in, bread out. And off we go without looking back at the toaster and how we left it. Days pass by and our toaster keeps serving us on all the rushed mornings without getting as much as a second glance from us. And when you finally look into it, you see the brunt of the burns it faced all these days. Cleaning a toaster is never a priority in our clean-up list, even though it is one appliance that gets dirtier, faster - with all the bread crumbs that drop inside and get stuck in it.

Bread leftovers, grease, grime - all can give birth to bacteria, and you definitely don't want that happening in your toaster. Do you? So, give it a good deep clean to keep enjoying warm and germ-free bread.

How do you get burnt stuff out of a toaster? | How To Clean Toaster: Step-By-Step Description:

1. First and foremost, plug off the toaster and keep it on a newspaper or a large plastic sheet to collect the dirt.

2. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster. Shake it off to remove all the bread crumbs. Clean with a damp wash cloth or with mild liquid soap and warm water, if too dirty. Let it dry completely before pushing it back into the toaster.

3. Now lift your toaster and turn it upside down over the sink or trash can. Give it a slight jerk to shake off and drop the loose crumbs. Put back the toaster on the work surface.

4. Take a close look inside the toaster. You'll notice how crumbs cling to the wires and toaster slots. Take a soft toothbrush, damp it with some vinegar and clean the insides gently. Make sure not to use a sharp object like a knife or fork, because they can damage the heating elements of the toaster. If your brush can't reach the bottom part of the toaster, use a long paintbrush to clean out the crumbs stuck there.

5. Once done, turn the toaster upside down again to release the loosened crumbs. Keep it back. And clean it from outside with a damp soft sponge or washcloth. Don't use a steel scrub or hard sponge that can scratch the surface of the toaster. For stubborn stains, pour a few drops of vinegar or baking soda on your cleaning sponge.

Your toaster is all ready to toast again!

US KFC To Replace Chicken Popcorns With Chicken Nuggets; Internet Reacts

What comes to your mind when we say KFC? The very first reply will be the crispy, spicy fried chicken. While totally agree with the popularity of KFC fried chicken, what grabs the second spot on the menu are the popcorns. These bite-sized delights are crunchy from the outside and juicy inside, making the dish perfect for mid-meal snacking. But the fans in the United States will have to bid adieu to chicken popcorn soon. You heard us. As per the reports doing the rounds, KFC will soon replace chicken popcorn with chicken nuggets in all the outlets across the United States. This change in the menu is expected to roll out by January 2023.

Earlier in July 2022, KFC conducted regional testing of their chicken nuggets in the Charlotte, NC area. The outlets then sold "100 percent all-white chicken pieces hand-breaded in KFC's signature Original Recipe of 11 Herbs and Spices," as per the reports in various publications. During the testing, these nuggets were sold in the options of eight, 12 and 36 pieces.

Some KFC employees further confirmed the news on a Reddit thread. A person recently took to the social site to write, "Went to a KFC today and they said the popcorn chicken was discontinued. Is this true? Everywhere? I hope to God this is not the case."

One person (who seems to be a KFC employee) replied, "We have chicken nuggets at my KFC instead." Another KFC employee confirmed the news saying, "At my KFC we still have popcorn chicken until February then switching over to nuggets."

Meanwhile, we have a delicious chicken popcorn recipe for you to try at home. Click here for the recipe.
