An Edmonton Oilers fan went into labor and gave birth to a baby at Rogers Place during Saturday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Before the start of the third period in Saturday's Pacific Division clash, Hockey Night in Canada reporter Scott Oake announced that a woman was delivering a baby on the seventh floor of the arena.
Oake joked that it would be nice to have her on the post-game After Hours show, though it would "be asking for too much."

At least someone had a lovely and memorable experience at the game. The Oilers were outclassed by their bitter division rivals, falling 5-1 at home. Instead of extending their lead in the Pacific, the Oilers are now just a point up with five games to go.
The Oilers' bid to retain the top spot in the Pacific Division continues Tuesday night when they visit the Utah Mammoth (9:30 p.m. EST).

The Oilers have been without superstar forward Leon Draisaitl since he suffered a lower-body injury on March 15. Draisaitl isn't expected to return until the playoffs.
One of Edmonton's other top scorers, winger Zach Hyman, could also miss the remainder of the regular season. Head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters that Hyman has an undisclosed injury, though he would be playing if it were the postseason.
As we saw last year, home advantage isn't a necessity for Edmonton. They defeated three higher-seeded teams before falling to the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year.
That said, winning the Pacific would likely mean a more favorable matchup against Utah instead of a star-studded Vegas or Anaheim Ducks squad. Edmonton still controls its own destiny, but winning the division is easier said than done with two of its top three scorers likely out for the remainder of the regular season.
